Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

JJ's Friends is a Colorado nonprofit corporation with 501(c)(3) status. We collect only what we need to get your family to a game or to thank you for a gift. We do not sell your information.

1. What we collect

When you request tickets. Your name, email address, city or town, and the number of tickets you want. Optional: your phone number, your children's ages (ages only), and notes about what would help your family enjoy the game. We also collect the games you are interested in, how much notice you usually need, the seating you need, whether you want a parking pass, and whether we may contact you about sharing your experience. Seating needs can reveal a disability. We use that answer only to arrange seating. We do not ask for medical records, a diagnosis, a photo, or a street address.

When you contact us. Your name, email address, and your message.

When you donate. Squarespace processes your gift through Stripe. We receive your name, email, billing address, gift amount, date, and whether the gift is one-time or recurring. We never see or store your full credit card number.

When you visit the site. Our website host, Squarespace, and the services it uses may collect basic technical information such as your browser, your device, and the pages you visit. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam, which checks how your device interacts with the form.

2. How we use it

  • To answer your messages and requests.

  • To match families with games and arrange tickets, seating and parking.

  • To send tax receipts, thank donors, and keep the financial records the law requires.

  • To keep the site secure and block spam.

  • To contact you about sharing your experience, but only if you said yes on the form.

We do not use your information for advertising.

If you choose a recurring gift, we use your information to process each scheduled payment and send a receipt for it.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only when we need to:

  • Service providers that run our site and process gifts: Squarespace, Stripe, and Google (email and spam protection). They may use your information only to provide those services to us.

  • Ticket sellers and the venue, and only what is needed to secure your tickets, seating and parking, such as a name and the number of seats.

  • Authorities, if the law requires it.

  • What we never do. We never sell your information. We never share it for advertising. We never publish your name, photo or story without your written permission, and we publish a donor's name only with written permission.

4. Children's information

Our forms are for adults. We ask for children's ages only so we can plan seating. We do not ask for children's names or birth dates, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children. If a child has sent us information, email hello@jjsfriends.org and we will delete it.

5. How we protect it and how long we keep it

Access to form results is limited to a small number of JJ's Friends officers and approved volunteers. We limit who can sign in to the accounts that hold your information, and our providers use industry-standard security. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

We keep ticket request details until 12 months after the season in which we last heard from your family, then we delete them. We keep donation records for as long as the law requires.

6. Your choices and how to reach us

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can ask us to stop contacting you. You can also withdraw permission for a photo, name or story at any time, and we will take that material down.

To change or cancel a recurring gift, contact us and we will update it.

Email hello@jjsfriends.org. We will respond as promptly as we can. We may need to confirm it is really you before we change or delete anything, and some donation records must be kept by law.
